Después de los rumores que que al parecer este dibujo había ganado un concurso de logotipos (en el que yo no había participado) empecé a indagar con el buscador por imágenes de Google. El supuesto concurso no lo encontré, pero sí que encontré esa imagen y estas en Tattoodonkey, al parecer para que la gente se diseñe sus tatuajes con mis dibujos y otros que van robando por ahí. Después de indagar en foros leí que lo único que podía hacer era escribirles para que quitaran el dibujo que fuera cada vez que viera uno mío en su página. Creo que, al menos esos dos (no sé si habrán cogido alguno más), ya no están disponibles en su web.

Hoy quise comprobarlo y volví a buscar uno de mis buhos en Google imágenes y me encontré esto:

After rumors that apparently this drawing had won a logo competition (in which I was not involved) I began to investigate the imaging of Google search. I didn´t find the supposed competition, but I found that image and these in Tattoodonkey, apparently for people to design their tattoos with my drawings and others stealed drawings from google. After inquiring in forums I read that all I could do was write them to remove the drawing out every time I saw one of mine on their page. I think that at least those two (I don´t know if they’ve taken any more), are not available on its website.

Today I wanted to check it and came back to find one of my owls on Google images and I found this:

Quien lo haya hecho ni siquiera se ha molestado en redibujarlo o reinterpretarlo, simplemente lo ha recortado del fondo en el que aparecía mi nombre y lo han pegado junto a otras imágenes que probablemente también tengan dueño. Me desconcierta un poco la imagen de abajo a la derecha, pensé que sería el logo de esta fantástica obra de corta-pega, pero buscándolo por separado me he encontrado con que es otro diseño de tatuaje que circula por google…Confío en que no se use con fines comerciales y que quede en el olvido.

Por mi parte, he aprendido una valiosa lección: cuidarme mucho de subir imágenes en buena calidad. Puede que también me tome mi tiempo con algunas ilustraciones en hacer gifs animados antes de subirlas en vez de imágenes estáticas. No es que no se puedan copiar, pero quizá les lleve más tiempo. Si alguien tiene alguna idea más son bienvenidas.

Whoever made it not even bothered to redraw or reinterpret, he or she just has cut it from the background with my name and have stuck with other images that probably also have owner. It baffles me a bit the picture below to the right, I thought it would be the logo of this fantastic work of cutting and pasting, but looking for it separately I found that it´s another tattoo design that circulates through google … I am confident that it isn´t used for commercial purposes and be forgotten.

For my part, I learned a valuable lesson: I will take care a lot of not upload good quality  images. I may also take my time in with some illustrations in doing animated gifs before uploading  instead of static images. It could be copied anyway but it will takes longer. If anyone has any more ideas thery are welcome.
